Southeast States
States include: North and South Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Florida
According to
history, this area was well known as being the headquarters of the Confederacy.
Today The plantations have been broken up into smaller farmsteads, and
the cities have been rebuilt into beautiful, airy metroploises filled with
people and greenery. This coastline, especially in Florida, enjoy thousands
of visitors yearly. The only true deterrant to these excursions is the
threat of hurricanes.

Swindle has arrived.
Swindle enters the area.
Swindle transforms to his Jeep mode.
Swindle drops down into Jeep Mode
Swindle comes jeeping into the area, BFG covered, radio blaring some 80s bubblegum rock. Boy's got no taste whatsoever...
Mitsuki is just sitting at a bus stop, finger through a hugely thick physics book, scribbling in a sheef of notes.
Nyah Hunt's visiting a strip of stores along a Virignia Beach street. She finally makes her way out of those hot clothes, and into something much cooler. She's now off to find that Monte Carlo that has been home for the past few days.
Swindle jeeps along, not quite tailgating the guy in front of him as he ogles the crowds on either side of the street, utterly amazed at the sheer lack of what some of the humans are wearing. As he ogles, he wonders exactly what the purpose of such attire is. Clearly it's not defensive in any way, since most of it's too thin to stop all but the slowest of projectiles and even then it'd do nothing against force related injuries. But, yet, the draw is there...must be for distraction purposes or something. That might explain why it's only females wearing so little, maybe they use it to keep the males off balance so they can move in for the kill or something....innnnteresting...
Nyah Hunt continues on her search for Victor's car..Not like it's hard to find, and she doesn't seem to be putting much of an effort in finding it.
Mitsuki leans back, rolling her eyes, and capping her pen. For stays like that for just a moment, then slams the book shut. It almost sounds like a gun going off and Mitsuki jumps for a moment, scared, then realising almost immediately it was the book. She quickly stacks the papers up into a pile, and wraps rubber bands around them before slipping them into a manilla folder. Where to go next? What to do next?
*BAM* The car in front of Swindle stops sooner than the Combaticon was ready for, causing Swindle to rear end it. "OW!" he yelps, whimpering a little at the pain of getting smacked in the bumper. The driver of the offending car sticks his head out, notices the driverless vehicle behind him and drives off, swearing.
A couple by-standers note his license plate number. SOMEbody's gonna get in trouble for leaving the scene of an accident. Meanwhile, Swindle pulls into a parking place to sulk.
Nyah Hunt would be easily noticed by Swindle as she continues down the street. She lets out a yawn, and she sits herself down on a bench next to Mitsuki's. The sound of the book slamming doesn't bother her one bit, and she leans back to let that summer breeze take her away.
Swindle would notice Nyah, but right now, he's having a sulk. He got hit in the bumper by some stupid SOB in a freakin' Beemer, he can't shoot the guy 'cause Ons said no killing humans without reason, he's got a mountain of paperwork waiting for him back at base and his bumper *hurts!* He grumbles self-pityingly to himself for a few minutes before he gets bored with it and lets his attention go back to the crowd, particularly those near the benches.
Mitsuki looks over at the woman sitting on the next bench down from her as she sits, wondering how ince it must be to be able to lose onesself just in a breeze or the sun, instead of in complicated waveform patternings and meteorological effects on concave and convex surface structures at extremely fast atmospheric velocities. Or the mathematical equations needed to bring the curve of a surface down to an exactly smooth curve rather than have a bump. She sighs. Looks at her wrist. "Hmm." No watch. She leans over to the newcomer. "Excuse me... but would you have the time?"
Nyah Hunt looks over her shoulder at the woman who's over
worked. She glances down at her wrist, and she smiles, "No watch. Sorry."
Swindle finishes his sulk and keeps watching the two femmes on the benches. They're interestin' enough and one of them's really familiar.
Mitsuki ahs. "Sorry to disturb. Just got to be back at the office at some point, and I'm not sure at all..." she drifts her words off, realising she's speaking too much to a stranger. After all, surely she doesn't want to know her life's story, nor her daily routine. "But thank you anyway."
Nyah Hunt nods her head slowly, and she smiles, "No you didn't waste my time. Never really considered the concept much. I pretty much go about life as it happens."
Swindle focuses his sensors on the familiar looking human-femme, scanning through his memory for the right match up.
Speaking about life as it happens...life is happening above...if you can, indeed, call it life. It's a rather dark and tortured life, full of pain and misery, bottled up rage, pent up suffering, all wrapped up in the shell of an F-16...
Mitsuki nods, wishing once more she was capable of doing that. Instead, the book and paper weighing her knees and thighs down into the bench remind her otherwise. "That must be a nice way to life," she conceeds, quietly. "Although," she adds, looking down at the title of the book (Atmospheric Physics In A Chaotic World - Kill The Butterfly), "I doubt I could live that way for long. For what I want to acchieve, I need to be focussed and manage my time well. Unfortunately."
Nyah Hunt shrugs, and she eyes her heavy bags, "Well you
just happen to be one of those lucky people who got to achive something."
She murmers to herself, and she sticks her hands into her pockets.
Dreadwind has connected.
Nyah Hunt shrugs, and she eyes her heavy bags, "Well you just happen to be one of those lucky people who got to achive something." She murmers to herself, and she sticks her hands into her pockets.
Mitsuki doesn't catch that, but doesn't feel lucky. For the last 20-odd years, she's had no social life at all, few friends, and been able to do nothing apart from sticking her nose in a book. Not especially the best of lives. But from the outside looking in, perhaps the end result looks better than dedicating a quarter of your life to getting somewhere, and then dedicating the rest of it to keep there. "Do you live around here at all?" Mitsuki asks, finally?
Swindle has connected.
Nyah Hunt hmms and she shakes her head slowly, "No. I live up in New York City. Just here for a vacation with a friend of mine."
Swindle keeps up his surveilance of the two femmes, having narrowed down who Nyah is.
Mitsuki ahs! "Yes. I'm here for work. I live up in Oregon. I almost wish this was a vacation... Oregon's been, you know, a little bit dangerous since I moved there." A pause. "Not that I mind much," follows a moment later, quieter.
Nyah Hunt ooos, and she nods her head, "I visited Oregon once..I did some hiking up in the mountains there. You mean that alien problem they have."
Swindle finetunes his audials, aiming his parabolic sensors toward the two women. (..alien problem? There's aliens in Oregon? Oh *cool!* Gotta tell Shockwa..oh wait...she means th' 'bots...damnit...)
Mitsuki nods again, looking around a bit. "Yes, if that's what they are. Lots of talk in our offices about them... I'd love to poke around inside one, anyway. Would make our job a lot easier, looking at several of these giant robot things." She sighs, wistfully. Ripping apart a nice engine, surface envelope materials of the vehicle itself, the control surfaces of the airframe... that would be really nice to do.
Nyah Hunt looks at Mitsuki..o O O (I'll have to tell Shockwave about this one. Victor will get to have fun with her too.) And she smiles, "I want nothing to do with the big guys to be honest with you."
Dreadwind finds a nice spot to circle...a spot near Virginia Beach...a nice, little...coffee shop. Perhaps his circling shadow will spread FEAR to the venders below...
Swindle's engine rumbles nervously. He doesn't much care
for the idea of someone poking around in him.
And if the shadow doesn't, perhaps being the UGLIEST
F-16 in existence will do the trick...
Swindle grumbles. She's got her radio off...nertz...
Mitsuki says, "I can understand that. I'm interested from an engineering perspective... it would help us in our work so much, to see a working possibly alien technology or materials. It could bootstrap us into faster transport, medical technology, space travel..." Mitsuki's voice trails off again. She's probably boring her companion with shop talk. "I'm sorry. I, uh, get caught up in my work sometimes."
*SSSSSSHHHHHHHHWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOSH!* The F-16 dips low enough over the shop to knock a few cups of coffee into unsuspecting laps.
Nyah Hunt snorts, and she shakes her head, "You think human kind should have that technology.." She reaches into her bag for a small black item that she had tucked in her pants. She places it in her new short pockets, "All technology does for us is gives humans a better way to kill another.."
Swindle rocks on his wheel wells as the F-16 passes overhead. "AFTHEAD!" he radios.
Dreadwind ignors Swindle.
Mitsuki shrugs. That's not what she's working towards,
although she is aware that the USAF is funding large portions of the project
she's working on. "I think... honestly. That I would like to think, with
Glastnost and all, that war will stop. It has to. It's not going be economically
viable for too long... we'll have to manufacture enemies soon enough to
justify current expenditures." She pauses. "But mostly I'm working on this
for space travel." She flinches involuntarily as the jet passes over above
them. "What -?"
she says, looking up as it climbs away into the distance.
Dreadwind hrms to himself as a few helicopters start approaching...
Swindle continues on, waxing lyrical on Dreadwind's designers,
flyboys in general, seekers in particular, and tossing in a few less than
glowing remarks he picked up last time he got stuck in NYC traffic.
Dreadwind banks slightly, now circling tightly around the news helicopter, letting it get a good (if dizzying) view of the F-16.
Nyah Hunt looks up at the jet unphased, and she shrugs, "Eeeh...I still think we should keep ourself here on Earth.."
Mitsuki turns to face the female a bit further now. "Why exactly do you think that?" She's not angry or insulted or anything - merely intensely curious to see how others think..
Swindle grumbles and goes back to femmewatching.
Swindle transmits '..hey..Shox know you're off your leash?'
Nyah Hunt looks up at the jet, and she scowls at it as if she's angry with it for some reason. She says, "Well think about it. What happens when a technologically superior race meets an inferor one? Darwinism kicks in and the strongest survives. I don't wish to be conqured nor do I want to walk on someone else. Besides it would cause world wide chaos because every damned religion would be proved wrong."
Dreadwind doesn't bother to dignify Swindle's request
with a response. Instead, he banks away from the
Helicopter and heads out toward the ocean...
Mitsuki can understand that, and nods. "But Darwinism will also kick in if we're found here by someone and found to be lacking. At least in a technology race, we might stand a chance by continually improving our technology as we continue to expand outwards. New environments bring new challenges, keep the race from extinction by keeping us on our toes." She shrugs. "And yet you make a valid point. But if that's the cas, we should stop transmitting all power sources... if we've got equipment that can detect a 1 volt battery on Pluto and a television in Alpha Centauri, what's to say others don't?"
Swindle fidgets. The chick's ignoring him and the stuff they're talking about doesn't make a whole lot of sense when stacked up against what he knows about Decepticons and Autobots.
Nyah Hunt knows more than she lets on, and she says, "At least the robots aren't so bad..I mean. Those guys can be blamed on the military at least. Living organic creatures no. It'd be pure out armagedon either way. And we're warlike as it is. And the only reason we haven't gone in to nuke the shit out of them is due to the envirnomental reprocutions..Not to mention the political backlash Reagan would face."
Dreadwind broadcasts to the news helicopter, "Face it. You're only observing me because you've got nothing better to do. There are shoot-outs in urban settings, children dying in third-world countries, and all you can do is sit there and observe -me-? Pitiful. I should entertain the thought of destroying you to save the world from your callousness."
Mitsuki shrugs. "Not being American myself, I can't really comment on political processes in this country too well. But a nuclear response is *never* justified, nor warrented. Not with the knock-on effects. A nuclear device is a method of dealing with civilian populations, not an enemy." It obvious by the look in her eyes that Mitsuki feels somewhat strongly about this. Of course, at this time, the French are dropping bombs on Muaroa atoll lots and lots.
Swindle transmits '*whistles* HEY! You!'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
You transmit 'What? Shockwave send you to watch me or something?' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'Mayyyybe...'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
The helicopter starts to back away from the F-16...which suddenly turns around and accelerates toward the news chopper. At this cue, the news folks turn tail and run. Dreadwind banks around and swoops over the shoreline, grumbling indignantly, "Human vultures..."
Nyah Hunt nods her head, and she frowns, "Eh, if it wasn't nukes it'd be dogs. I'm not from this country either..Came from South Africa with my folks. We got political asylum cause my pops was working on getting rid of apartied. But...he got screwed over, and it was either exile or execution. We took the exile and came here. Shame my folks ain't around no more. Lost them on the Blackrock rig three years ago."
You transmit 'Maybe ain't an answer.' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'Yeah it is; whether or not Shox sent
me depends on whether or not you want him to know you're here or not...'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Swindle rocks happily on his wheel wells.
You transmit 'Right now. I just want to be left alone..time to myself you know. Humans need this stuff at times got me?' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'Yeah...sooooo whatcha gonna give me
so I don't tell Shox where you are, huh?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Nyah Hunt furrows her brow at something, and she murmers.."Damn cheatin..."
You transmit 'What do you want then?' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'Dunno...whadda you got?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
You transmit 'Lets just say. I came here with a small
amount of cash, and the clothes on my back.' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Mitsuki looks a little sympathetically and drops her voice. "I'm sorry to hear that... although I'm sure you hear that so often. I've heard rumours of problems from that attack, too, and the follow-up on the Aerospace facility. We have ties with them." She shrugs. "A lot of people lost their lives in those two attacks. That's just not right."
Nyah Hunt nods her head, "Yeah, I was on that rig when it got blown to bits. Well I admit Blackrock was a dork for sending those choppers out, and after finding out his weapons did jack against..Sho...that guy he kept on shootin after being warned it was fultile. I'm bitter at that guy too. Ain't nobody who lost family got money to compensate for it. Ain't no funeral costs or nuttin."
Swindle transmits 'sooooo...maybe you can owe me a favor then, huh?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
You transmit 'And what type of favor would that be now?'
to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'dunno yet...but I'll let you know.'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Mitsuki acks quietly. "That's really bad. No government assistance or anything?" Although Mitsuki isn't sure how the government benefit system works in this country. Being from overseas, she's got little idea how people who have been hit by such a disaster are catered for.
Nyah Hunt is seated on a bench not far from the cafe talking to Mitsuki, "I'd love to throttle every penny he owes us folks who got screwed out of his pockets. This country ain't no different than South Africa. Same ideas. Just sugar coated."
Mitsuki looks at the woman. "Unfortunately, in any non-tribal society, that's the way things are. We'd need a huge paradigm shift in the way we think for things to be otherwise. At least in Australia, where I come from, you'd have been looked after, though."
Mitsuki
You see a young asian woman, about 22 years old. She's
dressed in a denim skirt, and a button up light blue shirt, with knee-high
soft leather boots.
OOC: If you want to RP with Mitsuki, and she doesn't respond right off, page Hilight and tell her to get her butt into gear.
Nyah Hunt shrugs her shoulders, "The US just saw this as away to look better in the world's eye." She looks up at the streets to see if Swindle is lurking about anywhere.
Dreadwind just flies back and forth over the beach, scaring the civies.
A black man and a white woman walk down the street hand in hand, passing by Swindle (who's maybe half a block at the most from Nyah and Mitsuki) on their way to a nearby jewlery store, the woman saying something about this being the place where she saw her the *perfect* ring set.
Mitsuki grins quickly. "Isn't that how everything goes in this country, though?"
Nyah Hunt nods her head, "Yup..Exactly how it's gone in this country. I paid attention to the stuff they said in my history classes before droppin outta high school."
Mitsuki nods slowly. "We don't hear a lot of United States history in Australian history classes. Not that I did any. I was into physics and mechanics. But the news is saturated with unimportant events from here." She shrugs. "News, like everything else, is a commodity these days."
Swindle fidgets, trying to figure out what he should use his favor on....
Dreadwind hrms, . o O (Perhaps a bit of target practice...)
Nyah Hunt nods her head slowly, "US Imperialism...It never stopped. It never will either. What a better way to take over the world than be a good neighbord."
Dreadwind fires a thermal blast at a school of fish.
Mitsuki grins almost to herself, and shifts her huge book around on her knees. "Of course." She looks around to see if a passer-by has a watch on... can't see one yet. "It's Rome."
Nyah Hunt hears the sound of gunfire go off in the background. Her eyes narrow, and she fehs, "Wanted to get away from those guys.." She murmers loudly to herself enough for Mitsuki to get wind of.
Swindle keeps eavesdropping, sorting what he's hearing against other bits and snippets he's heard from people. To his 'net, the US rocks. They're all behind that "Freedom" thing, which sounds *really* cool to him...
Dreadwind flies through the blast, the steam swirling around his jetwash.
Mitsuki hmms, and looks up at the sound. She's not sure exactly where it came from, though, and she almost misses the other woman's comment. "Hmm?" she asks, distracted. She wonders if the noise came from that jet that buzzed then earlier... hmm. She'd have to go looking up current flight envelopes of USAF aerofighter craft. The sounds from the overpass had started her thinking about flight dynamics over control surfaces, and it hadn't sounded quite right to her. But maybe that was a reflection of sound from the buildings around. She mentally shrugs, and starts running through airframe statistics in her head while she turns to the woman again. "Pardon?"
Nyah Hunt looks at Dreadwind as he causes general havok, "I came here hoping to get _away_ from this robot crap. After I went through would you blame me?" She says to Mitsuki, and she grumbles, "As long as that one who went after Blackrock doesn't pop up..I should be more than fine."
Dreadwind isn't hurting anyone! Just some hapless fish.
Swindle isn't hurting anyone either! Just blackmailing Nyah and ogling cute human girls!
Fish...pretty, silvery fish whose school moves as a single unit as they swim to dodge the spray of bullets which have suddenly been sent forth by the F-16's machine guns.
Mitsuki ahs again, and leans back, rolling her eyes skyward as she thinks. There's still something wrong about the flight dynamic she can't pinpoint right now - she uncaps her pen, and starts scribbling dozens of equations and expressions of the noise and actions of the plane. She can run them through the computer back at the office when she goes back. "This is strangely weird, though," she comments. "I thought the USAF were prohibited from overflying inhabited areas this low... or from shooting the ocean or seas except within test areas..."
Cute human girls, wearing shorts and bikini tops, a rainbow of human skin tones and hair colors, short, tall, thin, chubby, all setting a young mech's pump to racing for reasons he doesn't really understand. Apparently, human media has an influence across species boundaries, especially if the subject is young, impressionable, and pathologically eager to fit in to whatever social group he's exposed to.
Nyah Hunt just looks at the weird jet, and she scowls, "Yeah..Shock's gonna be mighty annoyed too.." She looks at the little black communicator in her pocket.
Mitsuki doesn't recognise the name or anything, but assumes it must be some kind of military connection - a nickname for a general or something. Realising that, she doesn't press further, knowing the secrecy that can exist within the US armed forces. But still, the flight dynamics are in advance what she's working on for NASA in conjunction with the USAF... and if that's a US air fighter, she wants details. She writes up in the corner of the paper, "Check files for details." Thinks a moment, then underlines details several times. Still thinking it to be a military jet, she looks over the seas at the plane, and says, quietly, "You'd think they'd keep it quiet."
Dreadwind sighs, "One can only occupy the mind with meaningless violence for so long..."
Fortunately, one can girl watch for aaaaaages. Especially when you're only a few months old. Swindle stares, not really sure why he does, but enthralled none the less.
Nyah Hunt shakes her head, and doesn't press any further. She looks at Mitsuki, "I'm no military type..Doubt they want an old crook.."
Dreadwind swoops away from the ocean and starts heading toward Swindle's radio signature...or rather where he last saw it.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'Shox wants to know if I've seen you...have
I?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
You transmit 'To let him know, or to let you blackmail
me somemore. Hell with it tell him. I don't care.' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Mitsuki says, "An old crook?" She pauses, then rolls her eyes. "Sorry, too curious for my own good sometimes. Not judging you by any sense of the word." She looks back out at where the jet seems to be heading them directly towards them. That doesn't look good.
Swindle considers his next move. To tell or not to tell...hrmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
mentally, he flips a coin, then flips it again, and again...in the space
of a few seconds, he goes from 2 out of 3 to 5 out of 7, to, finally, 21
out of 23.
Swindle briefly turns off his sensors before sending another radio message. This way, it's not a lie.
Nyah Hunt shrugs, "I'd rather not go into details about it."
Dreadwind swoops down toward Swindle, but pulls up about fifty feet above him and starts to circle around...by Primus, he's bored.
Swindle turns his sensors back on in time to spot Dreadwind. "Whadda you want, gothboy?"
Swindle transmits 'you're off th' hook for now, toots,
but you owe me.'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
You transmit 'Don't owe you a thing for all I'm concerned.'
to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Dreadwind responds, "Nothing that you could give me, Swindle."
Mitsuki nods again and smiles. "Sorry about asking. Just way too curious." She looks up at the jet again. Weird. Doesn't seem to be any USAF insignia on it. "Just as well," she murmurs aloud without realising, "'cause if it had unit markings, it'd be like... really bad for their CO. And the pilot."
Swindle transmits 'yeah, well, y'see, that's just it.
As far as I'm concerned, you do. An' I kinda got the upper hand here, firepowerwise.
Shox can always get another pet.'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Swindle to Dreadwind. "Beat it! You're attractin' attention!"
Dreadwind circles back around, slowing to a bear minimum to maintain flight, "Point being?"
Swindle grrrrrrrs, once again, not resorting to his radio. "Point bein' you're gonna get us *both* noticed, dumbaft!"
Mitsuki blinks at the sound from the jeep near them. The first sentence, she thinks it must be a driver. But no, she can't see anyone there. The second, there's definitely no one there. Her heart freezes up, and her eyes open. Is this what she thinks it is?
Dreadwind emits, "So?"
You transmit '*Growling* I've got something any other pet doesn't have. Shoot me and you need to get Mr. Synn as well.' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'yer li'l boyfriend? What makes you
think I can't?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits '...Synn? Whozzat?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Shockwave has arrived.
Swindle gets distracted from Dreadwind by Nyah's radio message. His yelling stops, but he is snickering softly.
You transmit 'A friend of mine..Nothing more and nothing
less.
' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'He around here?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Mitsuki is completely oblivious to radio transmissions flying around her. She's just staring. And then she looks down at her nots. "Too bad it's not a jet."
Nyah Hunt narrows her eyes again, and she bites her lip. She's on a bench in VA Beach not far from Swindle.
You transmit 'Yeah he brought me here. What's it to you?' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'nothin' really...just...he a big guy
or what?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
You transmit 'Enough to be a threat to you.' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Dreadwind is circling around, above Swindle, contemplating the consequences of transforming.
Victor Synn has connected.
Swindle transmits ':snickers. 'Yeah right...you said it
yourself, toots, you squishies can't stand up to us, remember?''
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Dreadwind is...ah, heck, you've probably seen the pose a million times.
Shockwave's enroute to Virginia Beach to see what has drawn Swindle to that location. He's currently unaware of Nyah's presance here for the most part. He's still off quite some distance.
Dreadwind is circling above Swindle because...well...he's got nothing better to do.
Nyah Hunt's seated on a bench next to Mitsuki. Next to her is a big shopping bag filled with her old clothes and some new stuff. She's not far from the coffee house's location..No need to give a location for an offline Victor. She growls again, and she reaches for the small black communicator in her pant pocket.
You transmit 'There's none of that type of stuff going on. Now mind your own slaggin business.' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits '*huhs*? What'er you talkin' about?
I'm sayin' your li'l boyfriend couldn't beat me in a fight.'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Swindle is parked about a half a block from Nyah and Mitsuki, hassling Nyah over his radio.
Mitsuki is sitting on a bench, physics text and aerodynamic notes on her knees. She's busy staring at Swindle. And then at Dreadwind. And wonders if she's right in her assumptions about the jet circling overhead as she seems to be over the jeep.
You transmit 'Ain't a fight that I'm suggestin..' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'So what're you suggesting?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
You transmit 'Just like that big jerk Apocalypse or whatever..We'll
just end up somewhere you can't find us.' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Swindle transmits 'not so long as you keep th' radio,
toots.'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Shockwave's starting to pick up the radio transmissions that are being broadcasted between Nyah and Swindle. He shakes his head, and starts to move on an intercept corse.
You transmit 'The radio problem can be easily solved.'
to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Nyah Hunt looks at Mitsuki guessing she hasn't noticed the communicator in her hand, nor the fact she looks pretty damned ticked off about something.
Mitsuki is still staring at what she's guessing she'd been hunting down in Oregon. Weird, to find them at the other end of the country, on a work visit.
Swindle transmits 'Just gonna make you harder to track;
I found you an' Iwasn't even trying. Think Shox can't find you whenever
he wants?'
Swindle sends a radio transmission.
Shockwave's soon above the location of the three..He peers down, and for now he works on keeping himself out of sight.
Nyah Hunt frowns, and she looks to Mitsuki, "Any idea if these guys are our robot friends or not?" She works on playing dumb for now.
You transmit 'Never a challenge I never met.' to Swindle.
Swindle receives a radio transmission.
Mitsuki looks over at the jeep. "I don't know. I'm assuming yes, or else we're on candid camera. Or maybe I am. Or maybe I'm hallucinating from too much work." She pauses and rubs at her eyes, taking time to cap her pen again. The once-clear piece of paper is now covered completely in complex calculations referring to airframe tensile strength and control surface responsiveness. Lots of question marks scour the maths. "I... just don't know."
Nyah Hunt nods her head slowly, and she puts the communicator away, "Yeah..I guess they would be all over the place, or not. Only thing I remember is the big purple guy who blew my rig away giving a report in New York."
Swindle decides to mess with the other femme's mind. "This car is protected by Viper" he says, in a *bad* impression of a computerized voice. You'd think he could do a halfway decent one...
Shockwave's optic shimmers, and he desends to stand in the cafe parking lot. His optic shimmers as he touches down softly. He works on trying to remain out of sight, but being a 35ft tall robot makes that difficult.
Mitsuki eyes the communicator as it goes away. Weird. Obviously a mobile car phone of some kind... but she'd never seen one quite that small before. She shrugs. At the jeep's statement, she looks back over at him and frowns. She's tempted to go over and check under his hood, but there had been reports of people being injured around these guys. So that idea was out. Now, if he had been some kind of jet...
Nyah Hunt looks at the jeep herself, and she looks to Mitsuki, "Thing's trying to blackmail me..For what reason. I don't know."
Mitsuki looks at the jeep. "Trying to blackmail you...? With ventriloquism?" She checks out the benches for sympathetic vibratory actions caused by something throwing it's voice.
Why does Swindle try to blackmail? For the same reason salmon swim upstrea..no, no, that's not entirely it, salmon swim upstream to mate and, well, Swindle couldn't get some in prison.... No, Swindle blackmails because it's part of his most basic, core programming...and it's fun too!
Nyah Hunt's seated on a bench next to Mitsuki. Next to her is a big shopping bag filled with her old clothes and some new stuff. She's not far from the coffee house's location..No need to give a location for an offline Victor.
Shockwave's optic shimmers, and he kneels down. He glances down at the familiar car for a few short moments. His gaze then wanders over to where Mitsuki and Nyah are seated. He is careful about the unknown terran, and so he just remains there in the parking lot. The occassional spring breaker will give a startled yelp at the unexpected sight of the Decepticon Commander whose lurking about.
Mitsuki is still looking at the jeep. Not sure what's going on. But is pretty certain in herself at least that this is one of those giant robots she'd been looking for in Oregon.
Victor Synn wanders out of a hotel not far away with his hands in his pockets, whistling to himself, the sun and nice weather doing wonders for his spirits as he walks down the street towards where he parked his car.
Nyah Hunt looks as the jeep finally leaves, and she says, "Must be the sun that's getting to me. Just was one of my old contracts trying to cause trouble." She still remains unaware of Shockwave's presance.
Mitsuki is still sitting, watching the jeep. Who seems to be gone now. She looks back at the woman. "Wow. My first... uh... giant robot, if that's what that was." And the jet, she reminds herself. Her hand moves to cover the paper with the aerodynamic equations scribbled over it.
Shockwave remains in the parking lot where Victor's car is, and he isn't being intrusive on her either. His optic shimmers, and he perks his head up as two more spring breakers who dart off with a panaiced scream in the direction of the hotel. He peers up at the sky to see about departing from the area, but he remains to study the human who's with Nyah.
Mitsuki slips the bit of paper into her collection of notes, and tucks that into the folder again. She shifts the huge physics book on her knee a little awkwardly. She hears a scream behind her, but turns in the direction away from Shockwave. "Wow. Must be some sale. Or something." She turns back to the woman. "Anyway, I'm Mitsuki." She offers her hand to the other woman.
Victor Synn continues strolling down the street towards his car and impending anger. The poor guy never seems to get a break.
Nyah Hunt turns her head towards the scream, and she frowns just a bit. She then looks over at Mitsuki, "Name's, Nyah Hunt." She takes the hand and she shakes it. o o O (Knows too much already. Definately will need to do something about this.)
Shockwave takes heed of Nyah's facial features, and he sends Nyah a radio transmission to alert her to his presance. He does not know Victor is strolling in his general direction, or he would leave just to give him a break.
Shockwave transmits 'I am certain you are aware of my
current presance behind you. If you wish for me to depart then simply request
it instead of allowing my interferance causing problems in the future.'
Shockwave sends a radio transmission.
Victor Synn comes around the corner, oddly approaching the opposite side of the parkinglot from where Nyah is sitting, his step falters and his good mood melts like icecream in hell, "Oh that is JUST fucking wonderful." pulling his hands out of his pockets he stalks across the parkinglot towards Shockwave.
Mitsuki smiles disarmingly at the other, then peers back down at her folder. "Well. This has certainly been an interesting day. So much for the day-long hikes in Oregon... I should have just come here for a couple of hours. Wonder what they wanted here, though?" She looks around a bit, but sees nothing of note. "Then again... apart from that near environmental catastrophe with Harrison, they don't seem to pick military targets. Maybe they're weapons of terror from the Soviet states?"
Nyah Hunt turns her head around to hear Victor go off. A frown settles on her face and she then listens to the static of her communicator going off. She absently reaches for it forgetting Mitsuki for the moment, and she speaks into it.
You transmit 'Well Victor's going to be pissed your here. I...I...don't mind you coming or going. I just came here to get my head back on straight..deal with that stress you're worried about..If you think it's best to go then go.' to Shockwave.
Shockwave receives a radio transmission.
Victor Synn continues his path across the blacktop, getting angrier with each step.
Shockwave's optic shimmers, and he pushes himself to his feet. He's just about to ignight his powerful thrusters, but Victor's voice is not hard to miss. He turns his head to look at the approaching human, and he remains there curious of what's going to happen. Nyah of course didn't tell him to leave directly.
Victor Synn comes to a stop, "So, whats the deal here Shockwave, thought your 'pet' went and ran off on you? Is that it? Can't you let us get any f**king time alone? We're human, we're NOT f**king machines, we need to rest, relax and interact with OTHER humans. Why the hell do you insist on showing up every damned place we are and ruining any chance at a normal life Nyah has? She's not exactly happy right now in my opinion."
Nyah Hunt hears Victor starting to scream, and she pushes herself up to go join the two. She walks over towards Shockwave, and she looks at Victor. The expression on her face is easily pained. She looks at Victor, and she's not going to get through to him at this point.
Mitsuki looks up as Nyah stands, and leaves. She still hasn't seen Shockwave - thanks to some judicious planting of shrubs and tables and poles. What she can see, actually, looks more like a sign. And as Shockwave isn't moving when she sees it - there's nothing to draw her eyes to. So she turns back around, rolls her eyes back in her head and starts thinking of huge mathematical equations.
Shockwave's optic shimmers twice, and he kneels down. He listens to the rant as he shakes his head slowly. He calmly speaks to Victor, "I was unaware of her presance at this location during my arrival, and I simply arrived to oversee another issue with my Chief Quartermaster who was apparently in the general area. If _she_ desires for me to depart then I shall..As for her emotions now..I am fully aware of the stress she is suffering. I had little problems knowing that she was gone from New York or my base of operations."
Victor Synn says, "Well *I* for one am trying to enjoy a li'l vacation here, so go ahead and get lost, I'll call you in 3 days when I've unwound." he turns and walks away again, "Geezus, can't escape 'em, their like roaches."
Nyah Hunt looks at Victor and then Shockwave. Tough one to make, and she rubs her temples, "If it will keep the two of you for going for each other's necks..Shock please go. Sorry." She seats herself down on the ground, "I didn't need this." She murmers to herself.
How blissfully unaware some people are when they're focussed on something. Mitsuki *still* hasn't picked up on anything weird.
Shockwave pushes himself up to his full height. It's pretty hard to not notice a 40ft tall purple Decepticon. He speaks to them both with a shimmer of his lone optic, "As for thinking Nyah would run off on me. I know that she has no intentions on doing so, and it is not under threat of harm to her person. I consider her to be a close companion. And as she asked I shall leave, and no.." He looks down at Nyah, "No you do not need anymore unneeded stress. I will contact both of you in three terran cycles."
Mitsuki is still oblivious, anyways. Twisting paths of
aerodynamical stresses and chaos maths will keep her busy until someone
directly addresses her.
Mitsuki finally gets the time from a passing pedestrian,
who's looking up in awe and fear at something before running off, and sighs,
stands, and makes her way down the street slowly, weighed down with her
book and folder.
Shockwave's optic shimmers, and before he departs he points to the woman Nyah was speaking to, "Before I depart might I inquire as to who you were speaking with?" He looks over to see where Victor has ran off to, but of course with Nyah on the ground all upset he's not going to leave her now.
Nyah Hunt is upset yes...very upset. She has her head in her hands. She lifts her head up to see where Victor stormed off to. She looks up of course Shockwave didn't go off. The woman she spoke to on the bench is now gone. She sighs and rests her head back in her hands.
Shockwave's optic shimmers, and he'll just stay there or get Nyah to that hotel. He shrugs as his answer is not answered and for now it's not a problem. He kneels back down, and scoops her up into his large hand. He looks to see where Victor walked off to, and then strides down to the hotel. Now he can't be missed as people scurry out from underfoot.
Mitsuki is just slowly walking up the street. Nice girl,
she reflects. Interesting views. A pity she ran off like that, but oh well...
it was time to head back to the office anyway. <repose>
Victor Synn shakes his head, standing at the far end of the parkinglot for ever. Growling quietly he turns around and walks back, "Sometimes life throws you a curve." he mutters, "I've got to stop caring so damned much, it's going to give me a bad name at this rate." he walks past Shockwave and crouches down by Nyah, "Hey, I'm just trying to give you a chance to relax kid, I'm sorry I snapped at Shockwave but he's got a bloody annoying habit of showing up right where we always are."
Nyah Hunt lifts her head up, and she looks between them both, "It's not that you snapped at him. It's the idea I'm put in an uncomfortable position in having him go just to keep the peace here. If it wasn't going to be the point of you blowing up I would of let him stay. He's got the bad habbit yeah, but I've gotten to the point of accepting it. And I think he was telling you the truth there that he had no idea I was even here." She looks at Shock, "Though he's telling you what I've been trying to tell you. I'm not like one of your guys."
Victor Synn says, "The point is, used to it or not your human... you need human contact without these big hulking machines hanging around. People RUN from him, if he's not around you'll get the contact and the life you deserve. We can work for him just fine without having to be constantly around him."
Shockwave simply nods his head in agreement, and he calmly intones, "I knew both of you were missing, but I did not see to tracking either of you down. I respect Nyah's needs to be with her own kind, and it leads little to be desired if you are constantly with me. It is also a risk to your own personal security since I cannot constantly asure one of my own troops will not have their way with you at one point or another." He looks back to Victor, and he's going to make this vacation stick for both, "I see it is logical to place on her..shore leave. If she does not wish to accept she will be given medical orders to avoid any activities that will cause her unwanted stress."
Nyah Hunt focuses on the bench she was seated at before. She once again eyes them both, "Right..med leave. Not a problem. Other humans. Still hard for me to trust them, but there's still those exceptions." She rolls an eye at Shockwave, "You were right about that one guy I met in the Keys. "
Victor Synn says, "Oh... Shockwave, since your here. You might wanna have a talk with some big truck guy, he tailed us for awhile and claimed you ordered him to watch us both. He needs to be schooled."
Shockwave's optic shimmers, and he shakes his head, "His claims are false, and he shall properly delt with. Is there anything other complaints you desire to make?" He looks down at Victor as he adds, "I will see to it that there are no further interuptions during this vacation from other Decepticons or myself unless it is requested. And do see to it Nyah keeps to her 'vacation'."
Victor Synn grins, "Oh don't worry, she'll have lots of fun. That's just about it, I'll be in touch, alright?"
Mitsuki finally walks off around a corner.
Nyah Hunt smirks, and she nods her head, "I'm guessing next time it would be better to let yeah know we're runnin..So we're not trailed by one of those guys who wouldn't mind causing a bit of a problem for us."
Shockwave's optic flickers, and he pushes himself up to
his full height. He glances down at the Victor, "Acknowledged, and yes
contact in the future would be recommened to avoid future interuptions."
