Nick Kurrins has arrived.
Nyah Hunt is sitting on a bench that allows for her to
look at the beach up on the 'boardwalk'. Her feet are propped up against
the railing, and she's doing some major chilling. The crowd doesn't hold
her attention for that long.
Buster is wandering along, part of some school excursion (or maybe there are Autobots in the area?) that he's gotten lost from. He wanders down the boardwalk, checking out the sites while looking for his class group.
Nick Kurrins is out for the evening. He doesn't need to get back to his studies for awhile yet. He stops along side a shop and purchaces something to drink, and sits down. Watching the americans walk by.
Nyah Hunt shivers from the cool breeze that blows in off
the Atlantic. She pushes herself up, and she goes to get herself something
warm. Those fries sure smell good! She reaches into her pocket for a buck,
and she walks up to the place Kurrin's is at currently. She shivers again..chilly.
She says to the pimply teenager at the window, "Bucket of cheese fries.
Don't skimp out on the Cheeze Whiz<tm> either." She hands the kid the
buck, and she leans back against the counter waiting for those tastey fries
to cook up. For now she'll keep herself content with watching the crowds.
Buster Can't see anyone from his group, and swears. Then flinches, thinking that now he's cut loose with a bad word, someone'll be there. But nope, no one he knows is around. Two girls give him a strange look, but that could be from the ice cream stains on his shirt. He'd really have to get Jesse and O back for that one. Still, he'd have to find them first. He keeps looking. And as he looks, his stomach growls loudly.
Buster
You see before you an average male American high schooler.
He's around five feet tall, slim, but not athletic. He has blond hair,
in a medium-length cut with a couple of waves through the sides, tapering
to a peak halfway down his neck. His blue eyes are filled with a curious
expression, drinking in anything around him. Buster also has a habit of
using his hands a lot to make what he's saying sound more realistic or
important, although the conviction in his eyes leads one to believe he's
being honest. In terms of clothing, Buster is dressed in nothing more than
a pair of jeans, shoes, and a loose t-shirt.
Nick Kurrins sips his drinks, Watching the lovely women enter and order cheese fries. He also notices her shivers and walks over to her, a polite smile on his face and his jacket in his hand. "Alittle chilly this evening, isn't it? I couldn't help but notice that your shivering. Here." he offers her the jacket, his tone not wavering from polite.
Nick Kurrins
This is Nick Kurrins. He is a little under six feet tall,
with a slight build. He is a strawberry blond, with hazel eyes. For clothing
he is wearing a green button down shirt, and a pair of dark colored jeans.
You can tell he baths regularly, and uses cologne that isn't overpowering.
On his back is a tan book bag, that carries his day to day things. Books,
pens, etc.
Nyah Hunt takes her fries, and she says, "Oh get me one of those fresh squeezed lemon.." She's taken a back a tad by the offer. She shakes her head, "Doesn't bother me that much. A rather pleasant suprise if you'd ask me." She eyes Nick up and down. Her attention isn't wavering from him for the moment. She reaches into her pocket, and tosses the money on the counter, "And I'll give you some advice not all women would be so open for that type of offer seeing you do have a foreign accent."
Buster hears lots of talking nearby, but as he's stuck in a crowd of unfamiliar people, he unfortunately can't hear anyone he recognises. His stomach has now taken control of his feet (and the rest of his body) and he's wandering off to find food. Where's the nearest shop with something to eat? Somewhere, cheese fries capture his nostrils, and he starts off in that direction. Maybe there'll be someone he knows over at the food shop. Yeah Witwicky, he mentally chastises himself. Sure there will be. But he checks for money (he's got enough for something to eat) and continues in that direction nonetheless.
Nick Kurrins smiles, and does a slight bow, "I stand corrected. But I insist that you sit with me, so I may enjoy your company." He then stands straight again, then he facepalms. "Oh, how rude of me. I'm sorry. I'm Nick Kurrins, a student at a university here in america."
Nyah Hunt waits for her lemon aide to be finished. She raises an eye ridge at Nick, "You don't know how to speak to women at all do you now?" o o O (Now where's my human ice cube at? And to think I would of blown this guy away..) She murmers to herself, "Nyah you've gone soft girl." She looks at the other kid o o (Short fella), and then returns her gaze back towards Nick, "My name. Nyah Hunt. What I do...mmmm theater work in New York. I'm still an amature right now. Graduated from SUNY just last year."
Buster wanders up to the shop, and orders cheese fries coated in tomato sauce (or ketchup, if you come from that side of the pacific :P). And a drink. Can't forget the most important food group, now, can he? Nope. Incidentaly, Nyah and Nick must both be pretty near by, because Buster can hear their words. Yet he's not interested. Yet, anyways. He's picked out nothing he recognises, apart from two people who don't know each other chatting.
Nick Kurrins smiles, "I'm attending (Insert big name tech school)." he takes little notice of Buster. "So tell me how to take to women in america then."
Nyah Hunt looks at a piece of newspaper blow around the ground, and she eyes the old faded picture of Shockwave in New York. She reaches down to pick it up, "Ooh for one don't be so abrasive. You're going too quick da?" She looks at the paper in her hands, "Old stories don't die now. Focusing on this big one-eyed fella like he's the best new thing since Wonder Bread."
Buster hears something about a one-eyed freak, and turns to see what's on the newspaper flapping about in the corner of his peripheral vision. Another bad word escapes his lips, and even though some part of his head is chastising him, the most of Buster's brain is telling him to run. But that's stupid. Shockwave isn't here... else people would be running and other people would be dying. So he peers closer. "That's -" he starts to say out loud, then bites his tongue.
Nick Kurrins looks at the Picture. "Yes, Shockwave and the Decepticons are big news yet.
Nyah Hunt quirks an eyebrow, "So you know this guy in the paper? I've been on the hunt for him in New York during my time off from the theater. I wouldn't mind seeing how well my.." She eyes the paper, "..hunting and most important evassion skills have progressed. Nothing special just taking a few extra classes on survival at the Uni."
Nick Kurrins shrugs. "I've met him. But sorry, I'm unable to assist you in your search for him." By the way he makes it sound like he wasn't impressed that much by the giant.
Buster stops biting his tongue when he hears the man say the Decepticon's name. But he wonders how they would react if he told them about the things Shockwave had done to him? Or rather, nearly done to him. It might be cool to have adult friends. But no. Buster doesn't think the others would be interested in knowing how he defeated Shockwave. Or anything like that. So he eats his fries, and starts listening into the conversation really closely.
Nyah Hunt reads Nick's features, and she takes her food to a table..All full. She looks over at Buster, "Mind if we have a seat? No room you see." She mmms, "I'd be rather thrilled to meet another being from another world. Seems like he would be a facinating fellow. But do tell me what you know about this Shockwave who looks like he can run for the major of New York City."
Buster thinks about following for a moment, but hasn't been invited. So he stands around by the side of the shop for a few minutes, trying to pick out what's being said.
Nick Kurrins sits down with Nyah, "Well, There isn't much to say really. We visited for a bit, he told me about the Decepticons, and how they seek to re power their homeworld again, and how the Autobots are seeking to stop them from reaching that goal."
Nyah Hunt picks at her fries, and works on digging into Nick, "Well were you impressed by this fella or no? I just don't want to waste my skills on tracking him down to find there's not much to it." She eyes the kid, and she motions for him to join them, "How rude of me. Feel free to take a free seat."
Buster accepts slowly. "Only until I finish my fries and drink," he says, "Cause I'm looking for my school group." Oh great going, Mr Witwicky, he berates himself. Remind everyone your 16. He slips into a chair, and looks around, still listening, but trying not to be obvious about it. He wants to know what everyone else thinks before he opens his mouth.
Nick Kurrins takes a deep breath, and thinks for a moment. "I've made a point to stay out of thier conflict, but I do say that if I was forced to pick a side right now, I would side with the Decetpticons. However, thats only because I have yet to hear the Autobots side of it." He looks to the highschooler, with a polite smile. "Good day."
Buster bites back a response to Nick, and visibly does so. But otherwise makes no action beyond mechanically chomping on his fries. He nods at Nick's greeting, though. "Hi to you, too."
Nick Kurrins notices the boy biteing his tongue. "Dear friend, if you have something to say on the matter, I would gladly hear it."
Nyah Hunt looks at Buster, and then Nick. Her eyes dart
back to the sixteen-year-old kid. Much like Kurrins she takes in what she
can about the kid, "From what I've researched. As would I interesting bunch
it seems." She gets done half a thing of her fries, and she eyes her hotel
parking lot. Then back to
Buster again, "Hello there. Name's Nyah Hunt. I've heard
the drivel from both sides one from the other while I did some work in
Los Angeles. The one in New York City. Actually come to think of it I did
see this Shockwave fella in Central Park once. Just stood there." She eyes
Buster's movements, "Mmmm do speak your mind."
Buster shakes his head. "Oh, no, I know nothing. Nothing about any of this." But he keeps listening anyways, and he nods his head. "My name's Buster," he added helpfully and openly. "But I know nothing about the robots. Apart from what's been on the news."
Something in Buster's maner bothers Nick. "Something tells me you know more then your letting on."
Buster shakes his head. "No, but I do find them interesting. I've never met anyone before who's seen one," he adds, as an afterthought. "I want to know where they come from, what they're doing. But that big purple one... wasn't he involved in that problem with... um... Blackrock? A few years ago? You know the one, it was on the news every night... and they called out the army to put a stop to it."
Nyah Hunt is completely aware of Buster's movements and body posturing, "Your body tells me more. But your mouth seems to hold quite a bit back. You do know what's going on. More than what the news is putting on. Do talk now. I'm sure you aren't going to be smushed out of existance. Both of us survived our encounters. I was rather wrapped up in memorizing a script for 'Phantom of the Opera.."
Nick Kurrins doesn't say anything about who was drawing his attention at the time. "Yes, I've shared my story, its yor turn."
Buster looks down at his fries, and then looks back up. "My dad - My dad was nearly killed by several of them. As it was, he had a heart attack, and ended up in hospital for several months. We... we had some other troubles with them, too. But the one we had problems with... is gone now, according to the news." He shuts up again, and starts eating fres, but slower now.
Nyah Hunt moves her chair closer to Buster, and she cracks her knuckles, "What other troubles are these now? Hmmm? I did not have any troubles with my encounter. Must of thought someone spouting out Italian aloud wasn't worth the effort."
Nick Kurrins says, "I certainly didn't find my incounter, Unsettling."
Buster speaks quietly. "They, uh, kidnapped my dad several times. And that big purple one... tried to kidnap me." And worse, his posture says. But that's all that's coming out of him at this point in time.
Nyah Hunt holds back a chuckle, "Now what would he want with a kid?" She'll have to use her comlink to send a message Shockwards later on, "Like I said he seemed to have no interest in us two. Surely a college graduate and student would hold some...hmmm skills."
Nick Kurrins nods in agreement.
Buster shrugs. "Maybe you didn't have the right skills. I don't know."
Nyah Hunt shakes her head, "Acting could be used in many other ways than entertaining da? Good skill to have for manipulating folks or conning them..mmm?"
Buster shakes his head. "I can't tell you any more than that... I don't know much more. But maybe they're not after actors. Or maybe they are and keeping quiet on it. My dad's an auto mechanic, that's why they wanted him."
Nyah Hunt's eyes move away from Buster to the shiny Carlo in a visible lot. She ponders something, "You do know more. Much more."
Buster shakes his head. "Nope. But I do know this: it's the guys led by the big purple guy, Shockwave, you called him, that kidnap my dad and have tried to kidnap me. I'd call them bad guys." He sucks on his straw, sucking up drink noisily.
Nyah Hunt pushes herself up to her feet, and she gathers her trash, "Now 'bad guys' may not be the right words. But seeing they tried to kidnap you makes it a different matter. He seemed mildly entertained when I did a portion of script for him. Only thought it polite to let our alien visitors see some quality entertainment. Told me he was impressed. Then let me go on my own way."
Buster nods. "It depends on how they want people to see them. But I... I've seen enough of them to last a lifetime. If I never see one of them again, it'll be too soon." He also stands. "It's been nice meeting you, Miss Hunt. And your French friend, wherever he got to." He collects his stuff, and steps back from the chair.
Nyah Hunt nods her head, "Oh, I'd understand that. Have
a good day now." She leans back into her chair, and she rubs her temples.
She gathers her trash, and puts it away. Back to her little bench she goes
to over look the ocean. Not a bad night. Little on the chilly side, but
she'll manage.
Buster nods as the woman walks off. He waves, and dumps his own trash, then walks off, looking once more for his school group. Finally spotting Jesse and O, he jogs over to them, waving. And quickly disappears into the crowd.
Buster hands you a vote for a job well done!
